This joint facility housing both the Hiroshima International Cooperation Center（HICC） and Japan International Cooperation Agency（JICA） Chugoku International Center, and representing a collaboration between national and local government-related organizations, is the nucleus of international cooperation projects for the Chugoku and Shikoku regions. 　ln response to the growing call for international cooperation, HICC will aim to cultivate personnel, support Non-Governmental Organizaition（NGO） activities, and foster a more international viewpoint in prefectural residents and corporations. The JICA Chugoku International Center will cooperate with developing countries in human resources development, receive trainees from various countries, and help them master specialized knowledge and technology.
